Friday, individual arrival to Passau
until 4 p.m. to the (fenced) parking space in Passau or to the main train station or straight to the ship. Free parking possibilities in the streets around the ship mooring station. Transfer from the parking space/train station to the ship. Welcome snack at approx. 4 p.m. at the ship. Approx. 6.30 p.m. “Cast off”!
Saturday, Schlögen – Linz (56 km)
Delivery of rental bikes in the morning. Starting from UNESCO heritage site „Schlögener Schlinge“ through the uninhabited valley Kaiserau to the baroque market Aschach and via Ottensheim further on to Linz.
Sunday, Linz - Grein (57 km)
Directly from the ship the cycle path leads out of Linz, the EU-Cultural Capital 2009, to the beautiful green landscape. You are passing Lake Plesching, the castles Pragstein (gothic, museum), Wallsee (Habsburg) and the Greinburg (Sachsen-Coburg) where the MS Primadonna awaits you in the baroque town Grein. Later in the afternoon enjoy a Classic Hits Concert in the castle of Grein.
Monday, Ybbs - Gottsdorf - Spitz (50 km)
From Ybbs/Persenbeug you are cycling to Gottsdorf, Emmersdorf on the north riverbank to the Wachau, where you are soon reaching the first very well-known wine villages. Such as Spitz where the MS Primadonna is already waiting for you.
Tuesday, to the castles Eckartsau und Hof (40 km)
After only a few bike kilometers, close to the Donauauen, the first highlight awaits you – a guided tour through the hunting lodge Eckartsau – which was the last residence of Kaiser Karl I & Zita in Austria. After that you are cycling to the largest of the 6 Marchfeld Castles – Castle Hof – which has been Prinz Eugens country estate. It is very splendid with its unique baroque gardens and the idyllic estate (entry about € 18,- per person/on-site). You can cycle back on the same path OR from Castle Hof to the impressing bike bridge over the March where you arrive in Slovakia. Pass by Fortress Devin and further on to Bratislava. On the Danbue Cycle Path via Wolfsthal back to Hainburg (+ 15 km).
Wednesday, cosmopolitan city Vienna
In the morning City Tour Vienna (approx. 2 hours). Start/End close the shipstation. After lunch you have time to visit the cosmopolitan City on your own (a detailed description for a bike tour through Vienna is included in your travel documents). The entry to the treasure chamber in the Vienna Hofburg (imperial crown) is included.
Thursday, Krems - Dürnstein - Melk - Pöchlarn (48 km)
Before you leave Krems, it is worth taking a tour through the 1.000-year-old city. Whether the caricature museum, the new state gallery or the beautiful old town - take your time. Afterwards through vineyards to the legendary Dürnstein (Richard the Lionheart), continue cycling to the wine-growing villages Weißenkirchen, Spitz and Willendorf (Venus of Willendorf) to Melk and Pöchlarn. Our tip: take the ferry from Spitz to the southern shore - it is a very beautiful walk on quiet side roads and through orchards to Melk.
Friday, Disembarkation/Passau
Arrival in Passau at approx. 9 a.m. – disembarkation after breakfast.
