At the end of the Puszta, the Peterwardein Fortress - which has been declared impregnable - rises up on a hill, offering an overwhelming view. The baroque city of Novi Sad, built at the foot of the castle, offers a magnificent centre - similar to the baroque Fünfkirchen (Pècs), the EU - Capital of Culture 2010.
1st day, Individual Arrival
To Vienna-Nussdorf. Embarkation at 3:30 pm. „cast off“ at 4 pm.
2nd day, Budapest
After arrival city tour (3 hours) through Budapest incl. Stop at castle district. After lunch on board time for individual sightseeing. Transfer from ship to pedestrian area and back included. (fixed times). During dinner cruise through the illuminated Magyar metropolis.
3rd day, Novi Sad
At approx. 5 am technical stop in Mohács (border control = EU-Schengen area). Arrival in Novi Sad at afternoon and afterwards guided city walk through the baroque town, former capital of Southern Hungary including the Peterwardein Fortress, which was considered impregnable and was conquered by Prince Eugene through cunning.
Optionally: city tour Belgrade (3 hours) inclusive fortress Kalemegdan, old town a.s.o. (90 km highway, 75 minutes by bus.)
4th day, Mohács
After Arrival to Mohács trip by bus to the baroque Pécs inclusive guided city walk and individual sightseeing.
5th day, Esztergom
After lunch guided tour to the cathedral of Esztergom with the biggest Altarpiece of the world. Third-largest domed structure in Europe.
6th day, Disembarkation
Arrival in Vienna-Nussdorf. Disembarkation until 9 am o’clock.
